01Introduction

By using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use our Services. This Privacy Policy is binding on all those who access the Services, whether acting as an individual or on behalf of an entity, including all persons, entities, or digital engines of any kind that harvest, crawl, index, scrape, spider, or mine digital content by an automated or manual process or otherwise.

This Privacy Policy is incorporated into our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms used here but not defined have the meanings set forth in the Terms.

At our discretion, we may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our business processes, current acceptable practices, or legislative or regulatory changes. If we decide to update it, we’ll post the changes at this same URL. Please review periodically.

02Information we collect

Depending on how you use our Services, we or our service providers may collect different categories of personal information about you. Personal information is information that identifies, relates to, describes, can reasonably be associated with, or can reasonably be linked to an identifiable natural person. We collect information both when you provide it voluntarily and automatically when you access the Services.

Waitlist & Beta Program information

• Email address — collected when you join our Waitlist for participation in a Beta Program.
• Marketing preferences — by providing your email, you consent to receive email updates about our Services (including participation in our Beta Program).
• Referral information — whether you were referred by another user.
• Analytics data — engagement metrics including how you found our website or heard about the App.

Account information you provide

• Account info — email address, name, username, and password when you create an Account.
• Profile info — age, gender, height, weight, fitness goals, dietary preferences.
• Nutrition info — activity level and general physical condition relevant to nutrition (if voluntarily provided).

Information collected automatically

• Usage data — features accessed, time spent in the App, interaction patterns.
• Device info — device type, operating system, unique device identifiers.
• Log data — IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps.
• Time-zone data — used to guide meal-window optimization.

Meal & nutrition data

• Meal photos — images of meals you capture for analysis.
• Nutritional information — calories consumed, macronutrient percentages, meal timing.
• Eating patterns — meal windows, frequency, and consistency.

Additionally, third parties — including advertisers and analytics companies — may collect information, potentially including personal information, about your activities over time and across different websites. Such third parties may provide NutriSync with data collection, reporting, ad-response measurement, and other analytical information.

03Cookies

Cookies are small data files downloaded onto your computer or mobile device when you use the Services, unique to your device or account. They make it easier to use the Services by saving your preferences so we can use these to improve your next and subsequent visits.

You can choose whether to accept certain cookies by changing your browser or device settings. If you disable this function, your experience may be impaired and some features may not work as intended.

Do Not Track signals

The Services are not currently set up to respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals, Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals, or universal opt-out mechanisms (UooMs), but do respond to browser cookie settings. You may opt out of personalized advertising from some third parties — note that these choices will not opt you out of receiving advertisements; you’ll continue to receive generic ones.

• To analyze your meals using artificial intelligence and provide nutritional insights.
• To track your progress toward your goals.
• To send notifications about meal times and Service updates.
• To provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
• To improve our App, Services, and related tools.
• To detect, prevent, and address technical issues.
• To prevent and investigate fraud or potential violations of our terms.
• To comply with legal obligations.

05Artificial intelligence

Certain Services may generate or analyze content through artificial-intelligence-enabled technologies — self-improving language and content models, machine-learning software and algorithms, training-improvement models, image recognition and categorization, and other functionalities. Results, analyses, or summaries may be derived from reports, images, records, and other material furnished by you.

AI mechanisms remain subject to ongoing evolution and refinement. NutriSync is committed to constantly improving our Services to increase accuracy, reliability, and safety. AI technologies remain dynamic; results may not accurately reflect details concerning applicable people, places, or facts. Your reliance upon any information obtained from our Services is solely at your own risk.

When you use AI-enabled Services, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Any results, outputs, or analyses may not always be 100% accurate. You should not rely on them as a source of truth or as a substitute for professional advice or your own judgment.
• You must evaluate results, outputs, and analyses for accuracy, appropriateness, and relevancy before using or sharing them.
• NutriSync (or our third-party AI processing vendors) may not be able to fully delete information submitted through our Services, or restrict further processing of information collected in connection with your use.

06Data storage & security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Although we use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and no one can guarantee absolute data security. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk.

We will comply with applicable laws in respect of any data breach. You are responsible for selecting any password and its overall security strength, and for ensuring the security of your own information within the bounds of our Services.

Data retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide our Services and fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. If your personal information is no longer required, we’ll delete it or anonymize it. We may retain information for compliance with a legal, accounting, or reporting obligation, or for archiving purposes in the public interest, scientific or historical research, or statistical purposes.

07Information sharing & disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information in the following situations:

• Employees & contractors — with our employees and contractors.
• Business partners — with existing or potential agents or business partners.
• Service providers — trusted third parties who assist us in operating our App and Services (e.g., cloud storage, analytics).
• AI processing — meal photos are processed for nutritional analysis by Google’s Gemini models and through Firebase AI Logic.
• Legal requirements — when required by law or to respond to legal process (courts, regulatory authorities, law enforcement, in connection with legal proceedings, or to establish, exercise, or defend our legal rights).
• Protection of rights — to protect the rights, property, or safety of NutriSync, our users, or others.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, joint venture, assignment, transfer, or other disposition of all or any portion of our business, assets, or stock (including in bankruptcy or similar proceedings).
• Aggregated data — we may share fully aggregated, anonymized data that can no longer identify you personally.

In addition, we will disclose information about you when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent physical harm or financial loss; in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual illegal activity; if disclosure is necessary to protect vital interests of a person or the public; to protect our property, Services, and legal rights; to prevent fraud against NutriSync, our Services, our community, or business partners; and to support auditing, compliance, and corporate-governance functions.

09Children’s privacy

Our Services are not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. By accessing or using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18 years old. If you do not meet this requirement, you must not access or use the Services.

If you are a parent or guardian and aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child, we take reasonable steps to remove that information from our servers.

10International users

The Services are intended solely for use by individuals located in the United States. If you visit the Services, your information, including personal information, may be transferred to and maintained on computers located in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those where you reside. By using the Services, you consent to the transfer of information to the United States and the use and disclosure of information about you as described in this Privacy Policy.

11Third-party services & linked sites

Our Services may contain links to third-party websites or services (“Linked Sites”). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any information. If you click on one of these links, you are leaving our Services and any information you provide will not be covered by this Privacy Policy.

All Linked Sites are provided only because they may be of interest or offer a service for your convenience. The fact that we offer such links should not be construed as an endorsement, authorization, or sponsorship of that Linked Site or its content, products, or services. We reserve the right to terminate such links at any time.

Third-party services we use

• Firebase (Google) — authentication, database, and storage.
• Google Firebase AI Logic — meal analysis and AI features.
• Payment processors — for future App purchases and subscriptions.

12Acknowledgment

To the extent that you provide or transmit any information, including any personal information and any information that identifies any other individual, to NutriSync or our third-party service or data providers, licensors, or distributors (“Representatives”) through the Services, you warrant that: (a) you are providing or obtaining only your own information or the information of others which you are authorized to provide to third parties and/or obtain from third parties on their behalf; and (b) the use of such information by NutriSync and its Representatives will not infringe upon or misappropriate the intellectual-property rights or otherwise violate the rights of any third parties.

13Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We’ll notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date above. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.

Material changes will be communicated through a prominent notice on our Site and in our App.
